    Job Summary: The Machine Shop Methods Engineer will develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes in the machine shop. This role involves evaluating existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and designing new methods to enhance productivity, quality, and safety. This may include translating engineering drawings. The Methods Engineer will work closely with the production team to ensure that all processes are optimized for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. An ideal candidate would have experience with rotor screw air compressors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement manufacturing methods and processes to improve efficiency and quality in the machine shop.
    • Evaluate existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
    • Design and implement new methods and processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
    • Developing programs or modifying programs for production.
    • Work closely with the production team to ensure that all processes are optimized for maximum efficiency.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to the production team.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure all processes are followed correctly.
    • Train and mentor production staff on new methods and processes.
    • Conducting studies related to designing, developing, and amending processes over different product life cycle phases.
    • Providing process documentation and operating instructions.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a machine shop.
    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
    • Experience with CNC machining and programming, concept to completion.

    Working Conditions:

    • This position requires working in a machine shop environment.
    • Must be able to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
    • May require standing for extended periods.

    Salary info:

    $33.65 - $43.27 / hr
