    ADULT RESIDENTIAL FACILITY (ARF) ADMINISTRATOR-4I

    QUALIFICATIONS, DUTIES, AND POLICY

    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position is responsible for the day to day oversight and support of residential service delivery including interviewing, hiring, and training staff, maintaining staff schedules, ensuring individual transportation needs are met, and maintaining quality home environments. This position supports individuals and homes in collaboration with the Program Administrator. This position collaborates with the Program Administration to ensure staff implementation of the individual treatment/support plans, activities and daily routines. Also, completes check in of medications and timely and accurate maintenance of the case management database.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Bachelor's (BA/BS) in a human services field is preferred.
    • Minimum of three years' experience in the field of developmental disabilities or mental health; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
    • One year working in direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities required.
    • Minimum of one year of manager/supervisory experience preferred.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to communicate effectively with people from various backgrounds, and strong interpersonal skills are needed.     • Must have the ability to satisfy a background check and comply with the company's drug free workplace policy.
    • Must possess a good driving record and show proof of current driver's license and insurance. Must meet requirements to be a company authorized driver.
    • Must secure and maintain First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days.
    • Must be at least 21 years old.
    • Must have DSP 1 & DSP 2
    • Must have ARF/Administrator Certificate
    • Must have Resident Service Orientation(RSO) From IRC
    • Demonstrated competency with skills and abilities to work successfully with the challenging behaviors of supported individuals and to know how to dispense prescribed medications.
    • Demonstrated capacity to be an appropriate role model, including exhibiting mature behavior and making appropriate decisions.
    • Must demonstrate a working knowledge of Positive Behavior Support and values that align with the organization,
    • Have a working knowledge of federal and state regulations governing the facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
    • Must demonstrate knowlegde and experience of dispensing and documenting medications appropriately.
    • Be able to speak, read, and write the English language at a level of proficiency to satisfactorily carry out all of the essential job duties and functions included in this job description.
    • Ability to speak to groups of staff, to articulate clearly, and to demonstrate positive enthusiasm toward staff and individuals supported.

    · Be able to explain and promote the roles of dignity, respect, and empathy in human interaction and support.

    · Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet the needs of supported individuals. Must work one weekend day or work on a weekend rotation to ensure adequate oversight and support on weekends as agreed upon with the Program Administrator in order to effectively meet the program needs. Must obtain and receive the T.B. shot series if required for the residential program.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of subsidized employment programs including but not limited to Career Link and Wage Subsidy. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, budgeting, assigning and director work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
