Job Description

Our law firm has a practice focus in commercial/business litigation/landlord & tenant, commercial leasing, and bankruptcy and is looking for an associate attorney with at least two (2) years post-graduate experience in one of our main practice areas. Courtroom experience is a plus. Responsibilities include representing clients in court, preparing and drafting legal documents on behalf of clients, drafting commercial and residential lease documents, advising clients on business and legal transactions, and negotiating settlements for legal disputes.

The candidate must be a member in good standing with the Bar of Virginia, Maryland, or D.C. Preference will be given to candidates who are members (or have the ability to waive in) of all three jurisdictions. Additional preference will be given to candidates who have previously completed a judicial clerkship.

Each associate at our firm handles a large case load, so the candidate must be extremely reliable, detail-oriented, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and have ability to manage a large task list. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast paced, high volume practice.
