As a Mail Clerk, you will be responsible for:
Sorting and directing incoming and outgoing interoffice and U.S. Postal Service mail
Receiving, sorting, and distributing U.S. mail, parcels, and interoffice mail
Operating automated mail equipment, running machine reports, and contacting vendors for maintenance servicing
Providing courier services to deliver mail to County departments
Preparing outgoing mail by weighing, stamping, and sorting for post office pickup
Providing service at the window
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in a mailroom or related role
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in operating automated mail equipment
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail and packages
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
