    Tri-State Charter, a leading provider of private charter services specializing in VIP charter services, is seeking a Maintenance Controller to oversee and manage the maintenance operations of their aircraft fleet.

    Position Summary:

    The Maintenance Controller will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of the aircraft fleet by coordinating and overseeing all maintenance activities. This role requires a strong background in aviation maintenance, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintenance Coordination: Oversee all maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities for aircraft undergoing maintenance and modification, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer's specifications, and company policies.

    • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and support staff, fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

    • Program Development: Develop and implement maintenance programs, schedules, and procedures to maximize fleet availability and minimize downtime.

    • Cost Management: Ensure all maintenance operations are cost-effective without compromising on quality or safety.

    • Vendor Relations: Maintain relationships with aircraft manufacturers, parts suppliers, and regulatory bodies to stay informed of best practices and compliance requirements.

    • Budget Oversight: Oversee budget management for the maintenance department, including forecasting, allocation, and cost control.

    • Process Improvement: Drive initiatives for process improvement, including the adoption of new technologies or methodologies in aircraft maintenance.

    • Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries and issues related to maintenance, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and trust.

    • Reporting: Prepare and submit necessary reports to internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.

    • Inventory Management: Ensure parts and components are ordered and received on a timely basis.

    • Equipment Oversight: Ensure all equipment and tools are in serviceable condition.

    • Regulatory Compliance: Assist with the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System.

    Job Requirements:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in aviation maintenance or a related field preferred. FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required; Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.

    • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role within an MRO environment. Experience on Completions Environment and Certification Process for Foreign Registered Aircrafts preferred.

    • Skills/Competencies: Deep understanding of FAA regulations (Part 145 repair station operations especially). Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for dealing with staff, customers, and external parties. Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience on MS Project preferred. Ability to communicate effectively, in both oral and written communication. Ability to work under pressure in a team environment. Uncompromised customer and service-minded problem solver. Willingness to work a flexible schedule. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks. Must be flexible and ready for changes in schedules and plans. Ability to adhere to strict time schedules, attendance policies, and appearance standards are non-negotiable. Must be 21 years of age. Must have a current, valid driver's license.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.

    • Must regularly be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
