MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT MANAGER
Overview:
The Maintenance Assistant Manager will oversee daily maintenance operations, prioritize safety, and work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and compliance. This role requires hands-on leadership in troubleshooting, implementing preventative maintenance, and coordinating vendor relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Supervision & Development: Lead, supervise, and guide maintenance staff, including Coordinators, Technicians, and Associates, to meet department goals and uphold quality standards.
- Maintenance Operations: Oversee maintenance and repair activities to maintain equipment and building infrastructure in peak condition. Implement efficient and proactive maintenance schedules.
- Problem Solving & Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and assess maintenance issues; determine necessary repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop, implement, and oversee a robust preventative maintenance program and ensure timely release of work orders.
- Vendor Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for vendors and manage service contracts for building and equipment needs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure maintenance operations comply with all federal and state codes and regulations.
- Safety Standards: Promote and enforce safety protocols in all maintenance operations.
- Performance & Metrics Management: Support business objectives by achieving key performance indicators such as downtime and cost reduction. Conduct performance reviews and align daily controls with business goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive 5S, TPM, and Kaizen initiatives for ongoing improvement in processes, equipment, and facility organization.
- Monthly Planning: Develop and execute monthly action plans that align with company objectives and strategic business plans.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of [X] years in facility and equipment maintenance, with a strong background in supervision and team leadership.
- Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills, along with strong interpersonal skills to engage and support team members effectively.
- Knowledge: Proficient in maintenance practices, including laser welding, resistance welding, and LOTO procedures.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, and lift or move up to 50 lbs occasionally. Must be able to travel as required.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000- commensurate with experience
