Atlantic Staffing Consultants in Raleigh, NC, is accepting resumes for a Maintenance Assistant at a Recycling Facility.
While reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for safely performing preventive and breakdown repairs on all production equipment, building mechanical maintenance, and related systems. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team's success. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to work with various teams and be an effective problem solver. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Assistant:
Maintaining and repairing production equipment as directed by the maintenance supervisor
Maintaining and repairing utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
Assisting other maintenance personnel with repairs
Collaborating closely with other departments and teams
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment
Performing all duties in support of the plant's quality and safety policies.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements of the Maintenance Assistant:
We would like you to have at least one year of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and installing manufacturing equipment in a manufacturing environment, including pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and rotating equipment. (We are willing to train the right candidate).
You must have a "get it done" attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasks.
You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills to succeed in this role.
Working independently and managing multiple tasks is needed.
Being reliable, having good initiative, being committed, and being quality-focused is a must.
You will need to be able to lift 50 lbs. as needed.
Effectively working with a team in a fast-paced environment is crucial to success.
You will need to have the ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
You will need to be able to perform repetitive duties, including stairs and standing for long periods.
Hours & Shifts of Maintenance Assistant:
Monday - Friday (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM - Night Shift)
15-20 hours of overtime per week required
Saturday & Sunday, as required
