Our automotive manufacturing client is seeking a Maintenance Clerk. The clerk will provide clerical support for maintenance staff including coordinating and maintaining maintenance and facility invoicing processes and supplies utilizing computerized maintenance management software (QAD).
Responsibilities :
- Using the computerized maintenance management system, input and coordinate stores/vendors, work orders, spare parts inventories, etc.
- Maintain inventory levels of perishable parts for Maintenance, Facilities and Production
- Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and supplies
- Purchase MRO supplies and negotiate with various vendors
- Implement material control system as part of the CMMS with input from the maintenance and production managers and supervisors
- Organize & coordinate spare parts inventories
- Coordinate & purchase components to perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) and work ticket tasks
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas (6S)
- Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures (6S) i.e. production floor, maintenance office and warehouse as needed
- Is conscientious, and follows all plant Quality Teams’ requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications :
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in purchasing or material control is required
- Experienced in QAD is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times
Monday - Friday
7 am - 3 pm (Possible OT and weekend work)
