    Job Summary

    We’re looking for a hardworking Maintenance Custodian to join our team! You’ll ensure our commercial facility operates efficiently, regularly inspect our building for damage, and conduct routine maintenance on our equipment to keep it running smoothly. The ideal person for this job is a reliable team player with a vehicle and a problem solver with some prior maintenance custodian experience.

    Responsibilities

    Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs

    Inspect the building for any structural damage to windows, doors, and walls and perform necessary repairs

    Keep a record of completed repairs and when the equipment was last serviced

    Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks

    Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, and polishing floors

    Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on custodial equipment and supplies

    Repair: Fixing fixtures and other items that need repair

    Safety: Ensuring the safety of the building and its occupants

    Trash disposal: Managing trash and recycling

    Supply management: Restocking supplies like paper and soap

    Reorganization: Moving furniture and reorganizing spaces Skills

    Cleaning skills: Using cleaning equipment, chemicals, and sanitation and disinfection methods

    Observation: Being able to observe the building and identify areas that need cleaning

    Customer service: Providing good customer service to the building's occupants

    Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed

    Qualifications

    High school diploma/GED or equivalent

    At least 2 years of maintenance experience

    Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems

    Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques

    Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends

    Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
