    JOB DETAILS

    Base Pay: $25.00-$31.90 per hour

    1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7 am-3 pm

    Benefits Start Day 1

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position is an "On the Job Training" program designed to enhance and develop previous classroom or technical training and to develop competent Mechanical skills that will be necessary to perform the die cleaning task. In addition, the candidate will be introduced to the servicing of water fixtures. On occasion the technician may be called to the production floor to participate in maintenance activities under the direction of a fully qualified Maintenance Associate.

    • Ability to safely use hand tools, hand-held grinders and hydraulic torque wrench
    • Associate will correct issues with electrical, and mechanical issues with Flat dies and water fixtures
    • Performs routine and preventive, mechanical and electrical maintenance on water fixtures and hot dies
    • Maintains the cleanliness and functionality of the die room
    • Operates forklifts and manlifts; transports heavy parts and equipment
    • Maintenance and inventories of electro-mechanical spare parts and administration
    • Maintains work logs as required with the use of Maintenance Connection
    • Performs grounds/facilities repairs, as required
    • Maintains supplies at workstation
    • Use assigned timecard daily to accurately record time worked
    • Respond to on-call emergencies as needed
    • Attend daily shift meetings and/or monthly plant meetings, when required
    • Actively participate in all plant safety and compliance programs
    • Notify department supervisor and/or group leader if proper tools are not furnished to complete job functions
    • Performs other related duties and assignments as required
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High School Graduate/G.E. D
    • Mechanical aptitude required
    • Minimum of 1 year of Extrusion, Plant Manufacturing Experience
    • Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties require
    • Must be able to obtain knowledge of working equipment and repair parts identification terms
    • Individuals applying for this position should have a basic knowledge of hand tools
    • Completing a Trade educational class for Industrial Maintenance is a bonus
    • Must possess deductive reasoning skills, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player
    • Position requires walking, standing, heavy lifting, bending, and twisting
    • Must have correctable hearing and eyesight
    • Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to equipment noise, temperature extremes, and dust
    • Work involves exposure to high voltage equipment and rapidly moving machinery
    • Occasional outside work during extreme weather conditions
    • Basic hand tools, fork-lift, hand power tools, OA torch, soldering iron, voltmeter, utility knife, hydraulic jack, mill lathe, saws, grinders, forklift, and manlift, etc
    • Hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel toed shoes required
    • Safe work performance is always required from each Associate
    • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals
    • Required to wear or use personal protective **** equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions
