Maintenance Director
Job Description
Maintain equipment, diagnose, service and repair facilities while delivering exceptional customer service to staff and members. Maintains, services, and conducts minor repairs on buildings and equipment. Being a Maintenance Director complies with established safety guidelines and procedures. This position has frequent interactions with members and staff; therefore a positive and personable attitude are a top priority. Nights and weekends may be required occasionally, depending on specific projects. This position is split between our Mattapoisett and Dartmouth Branches.
Essential Functions
Perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned locations (examples: drywall, painting, doors, locks, building fixtures)
· Ensure grounds surrounding facilities are upkept to YMCA standards, maintaining building exterior not serviced by contractor (e.g. snow removal, lawn care, painting)
Communicating with and overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
Ordering and stocking of supplies
Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
Ensure health and safety guidelines are always followed
Set up rooms and facilities for functions
Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repair
Perform routine maintenance of building systems
Perform routine preventative maintenance programs, follow established standards and guidelines
Work with supervisors to identify and complete all technical projects
Oversee seasonal/part time maintenance staff
Clean and assist with upkeep of Building and Property
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Prior building maintenance experience helpful
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Personable, professional attitude and strong work ethic
Dependable on reliable transportation
Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions during all seasons
Physical demands, including but not limited to, lifting, standing, climbing, pulling, pushing, moving equipment
