    Maintenance Engineer

    Summary of Position

    Seeking a full time commercial property maintenance engineer for a group of downtown Augusta office buildings. This position requires a hands-on individual with an exceptionally high level of initiative, motivation and leadership capabilities. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing light preventative maintenance and problem solving to systems which include, but are not limited to, HVAC, energy management, plumbing, electrical and life/safety systems. They must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Azalea

    Salary $70,000 - $80,000

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Must possess a strong background in all aspects of maintenance and repair including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.

    Proactive and capable of managing time and working independently.

    Must have strong problem-solving skills. Must be able to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

    Acknowledge and respond to all maintenance requests in a timely manner.

    Research and make recommendations to Property Manager for more cost effective and efficient methods of operating and maintaining building systems.

    Ability to exercise good judgment and professional demeanor when interacting with tenants and vendors.

    Ability to obtain and review proposals for all aspects of the property.

    Assist with preparation and implementation of the property budget.

    Supervise vendors and be responsible for supply inventory control and purchasing.

    Other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Property Manager.

    While performing the duties of this job, the associate frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The associate occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

    Be well groomed and conform to the company’s dress code

    Employee will be required to be on-call 24/7 to respond to emergency situations, such as fire alarms, power failures, flooding, elevator entrapment, etc.

    A minimum of 5+ experience on mid-rise buildings or similar engineering experience required.

    A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

    Should be knowledgeable in computers and energy management systems.

    Construction knowledge and background a plus.

    Driver's License and auto insurance required
