Locations: Fridley, MN | Maple Grove, MN | St. Paul, MN
Shifts: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd (varies by location)
Starting Pay: $31.50/hr+ (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Diagnose plant system failures and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other heavy equipment (training provided).
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety procedures , including lockout/tagout.
- Install new equipment within scope of knowledge.
- Work with boilers, chillers, compressors, and process controls.
- Assist in campus security and HVAC system management.
- Manage external contractor bids and services.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-5+ years of technical training/experience in maintenance.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and process equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CMMS software, and industrial troubleshooting.
- Ability to read schematics, diagnose electrical/mechanical failures , and repair complex pneumatic systems.
- Medium voltage 3-phase electrical knowledge.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MN 1st Class C Boiler License (or working toward it).
- PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with pipefitting, metal fabrication, machining, and refrigeration.
- OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certification.
- Associate degree in Building Maintenance or related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform heavy wrench turning.
- Work at elevated heights , including ladders and rooftops.
- Exposure to industrial machinery and chemicals (PPE required).
Salary info:
$30 - $40 / hr
