    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The primary purpose of this position is to manage and maintain all the equipment at the manufacturing facilities for Phos-Chek® Long Term Fire Retardants and Foams in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and McClellan, CA, along with supporting tolling partners at multiple locations. This individual will be responsible for assisting with the installation, repair, maintenance, and monitoring industrial processing and production machinery. This position involves working with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. The Maintenance Mechanic will conduct all company-related business in a professional, safe, and efficient manner, in full compliance with Perimeter Solutions EH&S policies.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Adheres to Perimeter Solutions Safety Policies

    • Adhere to Preventative Maintenance schedules for all equipment and ensure critical spares inventory is in place to maintain maximum up-time

    • Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using computerized management system (Fiix)

    • Troubleshoots and maintains motors, gear boxes, screw conveyors, electrical systems, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic equipment

    • Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics

    • Source replacement parts and perform repairs

    • Attends daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime

    • Safely operates power tools, hoist, and hand tools

    • Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers, and specifications

    • Maintain parts and tools inventory

    • The maintenance and repairs of our dry product production equipment which include various conveying, reduction, screening, blending, and packaging equipment items

    • The maintenance and repairs of our liquid product production equipment which includes various motors, pumps, piping, fillers, and packaging equipment

    • The maintenance and repairs of our fleet of forklifts

    • The maintenance and repairs of our fleet of pneumatic semi-bulk trailers

    • The maintenance and repairs of our fleet of company owned vehicles

    • The maintenance and repairs of our facility related needs and equipment such as HVAC systems, electrical control cabinets, electrical lighting, minor plumbing repairs, etc.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

    • Commitment to always working in safe manner and follow company policies for your own personal safety as well as those that you work with and instruct

    • 5 years of experience in the areas of responsibility stated above

    • Be neat and organized and able to learn and utilize our computerized plant maintenance software “Fiix”

    • Maintain tools and parts inventory in a manner that is efficient and user friendly for those who require access

    • Be willing and able to perform as many of the maintenance and repair work items themselves when possible and recommend and oversee outsourced maintenance and repair items to other vendors only when needs arise that are beyond their own experience, training and/or capabilities and/or time limitations

    • Can properly diagnose problems versus symptoms related to breakdowns

    • Be willing to work over-time when needed

    • Be willing to work alongside Production Operators in Production and shipping and receiving if needed

    • Be willing to be On-Call when needed

    • Travel may be required to other manufacturing sites and airbases to help with equipment install and trouble shooting

    • Be courteous and enjoy working with others and treat all with respect regardless of position
