  • Responsibilities

    The Maintenance Mechanic assists the Maintenance Manager in repairing and

    maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment at all three locations of Amigos Foods.

    Job Duties:

    • Perform routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance on all production equipment, including conveyor systems, pumps, motors, and other types of food processing machinery.
    • Perform fabricating duties.
    • Perform some electrical and plumbing duties
    • Troubleshoot all areas of production equipment to ensure it is in good working order, making repairs/adjustments as needed.
    • Other Duties as Assigned

    Essential Functions:

    • Maintain standards of food plant sanitation in all production activities.
    • Ensure good manufacturing practices are adhered to at all times
    • Adhere to the company's production standard operating procedures
    • Maintain a clean work area at all times
    • Prevent costly downtime and disruptions to production schedules by ensuring that equipment is in good working order and catching problems before they become more serious

    Position Qualifications

    • Have experience with various tools such as wrenches, pliers, socket sets as well as welding equipment.

    Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

    Experience: One to two years' related experience. Experience in food processing
