    JOB DETAILS

    Base Pay: $38.00-$42.50 per hour

    1st Shift Monday-Friday 7am-3pm

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Associate ensures maximum productivity of the maintenance team through effective organization and scheduling of preventive, predictive and repair related maintenance activities on company assets. Ensures accuracy and safety in all operations. Ensures safety of people by following Company guidelines on operation of motorized equipment.

    • Ensures operation of equipment and company assets by scheduling and assigning preventive maintenance programs for facility equipment
    • Completes logs with proper documentation
    • Maintain accurate work order backlog list with resource requirement estimates
    • Anticipate needed stock, parts and expenditures to accomplish results
    • Track machine and tooling service hours for predictive and preventative maintenance purposes
    • Organize and maintain database of available tooling and assets critical to production
    • Controls downtime by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
    • Inform production workers of routine preventive techniques and monitoring compliance
    • Provides information by answering questions and requests and completing reports accurately and on time
    • Submit to appropriate personnel as needed
    • Must possess a Ply Gem certified motorized equipment license
    • Operate forklifts
    • Coordinate maintenance of parts inventory with purchasing personnel
    • Maintain work logs, including logs of repairs and alterations to schematics
    • Help plan improvements to equipment and processes that support the business model
    • Follow all EH & S rules such as, but not limited to ensuring containers are properly labeled as to contents, inspecting fall protection equipment, inspecting motorized equipment, following proper disposal of procedures for lighting components, batteries and aerosol containers
    • Post caution and other signs to warn employees of unsafe conditions
    • Train other maintenance associates as required
    • Complete daily forklift safety/damage inspection checks
    • Change batteries and/or gas tanks on motorized equipment
    • Report maintenance needs to appropriate personnel
    • Report any safety violations or issues to the supervisor immediately for prompt resolution
    • Help promote good housekeeping with assigned area through participation in assigned 5S zone(s)
    • Perform other related duties and assignments as required
    • Use assigned timecard daily to accurately record time worked
    • Maintain supplies at workstation
    • Attend weekly shift meetings and monthly plant meetings, if required
    • Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location
    • Notify supervisor if proper tools are not furnished to complete job functions
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High school graduate/GED supplemented by technical school
    • Minimum of two-five years of maintenance planning or working as technician
    • Experience needed with Procurement software and Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of basic preventive maintenance scheduling and implementation required
    • Knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and basic carpentry and tooling
    • Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations pertaining to equipment
    • Position requires walking, standing, possible lifting
    • Ability to coordinate and organize complex tasks
    • Ability to work independently
    • Must have excellent mechanical aptitude
    • Must have excellent math and design aptitude
    • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
    • Extensive standing, frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting and walking
    • Extreme weather conditions
    • Equipment/Tools Used: Required personal protective equipment, calculator, computer
