Providence Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Specialist (Planner) for a leading facility in Atlanta, GA. This position is accountable to the Planning Team Leader and is responsible for effective outage and routine maintenance planning. The role involves developing daily, detailed work plans, scheduling work activities, and providing coordination during unit outages. Additionally, this position provides direct support to operations and maintenance crews through planning, estimating, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance activities on plant equipment. The Planner may serve as a System Owner or provide direct support to System Owners as needed. This role also provides backup to other Planners and Contract Support Specialists as workloads dictate.
This is a 100% onsite position, and candidates must be willing to commute if they are non-local.
Pay Rate: $33.00 per hour
Location: Atlanta, GA
Responsibilities:
Administer the work order management system by processing prioritized work orders, updating equipment records, and maintaining an equipment historical database, including bills of materials and equipment procedures.
Develop and maintain the plant’s Four (4) Week Plan by scheduling all maintenance activities, utilizing and reporting trends and metrics.
Enhance work productivity by providing detailed work plans and work packages, coordinating material ordering and staging, and ensuring effective communication between maintenance groups and Planning & Scheduling.
Develop outage work packages and plans for planned, forced, and maintenance outages, utilizing Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules when appropriate.
Provide coordination during outages and for other on-site and off-site contract labor needs (e.g., equipment rebuilds and parts refurbishment), identifying the most cost-effective solutions.
Actively support Plant Reliability Optimization (PRO) through the role of a System Owner, or in support thereof, ensuring continued improvements in equipment maintenance.
Optimize spare parts, material, and equipment stocking levels and inventories.
Provide planning activities that fully meet or exceed expectations as listed in the Southern Generation Playbook.
Conduct and participate in weekly planning meetings.
Develop and track routine, outage, and capital budgets for assigned equipment and systems.
Review closed work orders to identify potential follow-up work.
Lead strategic maintenance projects aimed at enhancing equipment performance and longevity.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company maintenance policies.
Requirements:
6-10 years of experience in plant maintenance, operations, and outage planning.
Strong organizational, administrative, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Extensive knowledge and experience with personal computers and work order management systems.
Ability to learn and utilize numerous software applications for planning and scheduling.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with craft personnel, supervisory staff, and management teams.
Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledgeable in contract administration and budget management.
Ability to interface with vendors and contractors while representing the best interests of the company.
