The maintenance technician's job includes repairing and maintaining equipment, buildings, and grounds, and ensuring they are running efficiently. They may also perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and inspect equipment. Responsibilities: • Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment, buildings, and grounds. This may include fixing electrical switches, outlets, and circuit breakers, as well as repairing plumbing fixtures and unclogging drains. • Inspect and diagnose problems with equipment and machinery, and determine the best way to correct them. • Coordinate and oversee the work of outside contractors. • Create and execute work orders, prepare reports, and track and report on maintenance activities. • Communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear instructions and interpret others' communication. • Attend scheduled meetings and required training to maintain current industry knowledge. Qualifications: Maintenance technicians should have strong communication skills, deductive reasoning, manual dexterity, and creative problem-solving skills. They should also have an intuitive feel for machines and be able to quickly spot when something is not right. • Prior experience in a hotel or commercial setting ideal
