    Job Title: Maintenance Technician II
    Location: Stead, NV
    Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Wednesday - Sunday)
    Department: Maintenance
    Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

    Position Summary:
    Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. This role follows safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems to support the achievement of business goals and objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the team as needed, plan day-to-day tasks, and keep the team motivated while adhering to core company values
    • Perform all duties of Maintenance Technician I
    • Operate and maintain Hi-lo drivers (5000 lbs. to 30,000 lbs.), die-setting forklifts, man lifts, and articulating boom lifts
    • Apply lock-out tag-out procedures as required
    • Set and pull compression molds, including prototype and new tool trial set-up
    • Process compression molds and solve molding problems, including the processing of new or prototype tools
    • Perform advanced welding tasks (MIG, TIG, brazing, cutting using acetylene and oxygen torch, plasma cutting), including fabricating machine components
    • Complete advanced preventative maintenance, including teardown and refurbishment of plant equipment (electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical devices)
    • Troubleshoot and repair low and high voltage circuits, machine controls, and components
    • Troubleshoot and repair PLC logic, HMI programming, and machine logic systems
    • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, components, and equipment, including compressors and dryers
    • Design and build machine electrical panels
    • Rebuild pneumatic cylinders and vacuum pumps
    • Perform advanced troubleshooting of equipment, proximity sensors, vision systems, and relay/ladder logic control circuits
    • Work with electrical circuits ranging from 24 volts to 480 3-phase systems
    • Perform conduit bending and wiring for machine runs
    • Perform tool PM (preventative maintenance) and robot programming and repair
    • Detect faulty operations, defective materials, and report unusual situations to management
    • Follow all plant Quality Team requirements and safety regulations
    • Maintain clean and orderly work areas, adhering to 5S procedures (production floor, shipping & receiving, warehouse)
    • Be available on an “on-call” basis as required
    • Communicate and understand verbal and written instructions in English
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
    • Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience
    • HVAC and vacuum forming experience preferred
    • Must be highly motivated, independent, and able to work well under minimal supervision
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and safety-conscious environment

    Pay:
    $24 - $30 per hour (based on experience)
    This is a temporary position with the possibility of temp-to-hire.
