Our client, an industry leader known for pioneering innovative, sustainable solutions with a safety-first approach, has been shaping the field for over 50 years. They are now seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to join their team as they expand.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment in the plastics industry, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, while ensuring efficient operation of machinery and performing other related duties as required. This is a 2nd shift position.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair complex issues on plastic injection and blow molding machines, as well as auxiliary equipment such as grinders, compressors, and chillers.
Perform electrical repairs on molding machines, utilizing electrical schematics for accurate troubleshooting and resolution.
Operate machine controls to identify problems and validate the effectiveness of repairs and solutions.
Manufacture and repair machine components and tools using welders, blow torches, drills, saws, and other essential tools.
Interpret and work with hydraulic drawings to perform necessary repairs on machinery.
Safely handle and work with 480V 3-phase electrical systems to maintain and repair equipment.
Apply knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems to enhance the functionality and efficiency of machinery.
Carry out general maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the continuous operation of all production equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school degree or equivalent maintenance experience preferred.
3+years of experience in operating and/or repairing plastic injection molding and blow molding machines.
3+ years of experience working with electrical components.
