  • Responsibilities

    BASIC FUNCTION:

    This position will include installing, working on, doing Preventative Maintenance, and Predictive Maintenance on our facility and extrusion equipment. Must have vast electrical and mechanical knowledge in the industry and able to work on all different types of systems. Work schedule must be flexible and willing to do call-ins on an as needed basis. Must work with production and management to ensure machine uptime and reliably.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Ensure the on-time completion of all Preventive Maintenance actions. Maintain all records as required.
    2. Enter all work orders into the system and provide breakdowns from either call-ins, work orders from PMs, or safety requests.
    3. Reporting of Maintenance Downtime reports, Budgets, Utilization, and upcoming projects
    • Organize the maintenance area and keep clean.
    • Ensure adequate spare parts inventory on hand.
    1. Must be able to work with Vendors to gain parts information.
    2. Work with vendors to ensure that all laws, specifications for warranty on equipment, and facility are up to date.
    3. Perform other related and/or required duties as assigned.
    4. Run electrical circuits as required.
    5. Ability to do fabrication such as Welding Mig or Tig preferred, cutting with Plasma or Oxygen Acetylene torch, grinding, and improve equipment for better throughput or operator ease of work.
    6. Must be available for after-hours support, including weekends.
    7. Ability to lift 55lbs or more
    8. Ability to stand for up to 12 hours
    9. Ability to work in a facility that is not climate controlled
    10. Willing to collaborate with Engineering during special projects

    SKILLS:

    • Highly organized, excellent oral and written communications skills, MS Office, proficiency in Excel strongly preferred.
    • Computers and Electronics—Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
    • Mechanical—Knowledge of machine and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
    • Engineering and Technology—Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, and procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
    • Mathematics—Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
    • Public Safety and Security—Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
    • Ensure OSHA standards are met.
    • Automation—Knowledge of automation process and proprietary programs
    • Experience with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
    • Must be able to work as and when required, after normal hours and weekends.

    EDUCATION/TRAINING:

    High school degree required,

    Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    EXPERIENCE:

    10+ years’ experience in an Industrial Maintenance environment.

    Project management experience a plus.
