  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to work at one of our facilities. As part of your job you will have to complete all maintenance functions including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment, while promoting and practicing safety at all times, and contributing to the continuous improvement of plant equipment by finding ways to eliminate unscheduled downtime and improve efficiency. You will be responsible for:

    • Installation

      • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
      • Installs piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment in accordance with design drawings, specifications and by a basic knowledge of the product requirement. Understands the effect and need to select the proper material for product compatibility and pipe schedule to handle the working pressures of the fluids or gases. Labels and inspects finished work to ensure that the operator has a working knowledge of the piping circuit.
      • Aligns machines and equipment (using hoists, jacks, lift trucks, levels, transits, plumb bobs, rules, squares and other related tools) to assure proper alignment and position.
    • Preventative Maintenance & Calibration

      • Performs necessary mechanical preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment as required by the preventative maintenance program, by greasing, aligning, tightening, replacing, changing, and or calibrating.
      • Performs calibration procedures in accordance to the calibration manual and documents the findings accordingly.
    • Maintaining and repairing facility equipment in the areas of HVAC systems, mechanical refrigeration, fire systems, water and sewer networks, engine powered support equipment, air compressors, and chemical treatments; in accordance to manufactures or engineering specifications

    • Maintaining and repairing all production equipment and industrial facility

    • Working independently and as a team member

    • Assisting production in manufacturing on an as-needed basis

    • Updating and maintaining accurate maintenance records

    • Maintaining work area in 5S condition

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:**

    • Have a high school diploma or GED
    • Have 3-4 years related experience and/or training in an industrial maintenance environment
    • Have excellent written, reading comprehension and math skills
    • Exhibit the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
    • Have direct knowledge of how to troubleshoot, repair and maintain pumps, mixers, and processing equipment
    • Be able to lift up to 55 lbs
    • Demonstrate Mechanical and electrical skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Have Forklift experience.
    • Able to read and understand blueprints and /or schematic including electrical drawings to determine the proper work procedures, assembly requirements and tolerances needed to perform the task satisfactory.
    • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion.

    ** __****In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:**

    • Problem-solving skills
    • Conduit bending, stick welding, mig welding and tig welding
    • Cutting torch and pipe threading
    • Previous experience within the Ink Industry
