Maintenance Technician (Burgettstown Location)

Primary Responsibilities:
- Installs, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment including but no limited to motors, gearboxes, roller chain/sprockets, belts and sheaves, conveyors, pumps, presses, mills and other production equipment
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, document completed tasks and file associated forms in the appropriate location
- Locate and identify faulty equipment through observation and testing
- Disassemble, Repair, and Reassemble machinery and equipment when problems are identified
- Read technical drawings and manuals to understand equipment and controls
- Adjust, align and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal standards
- Perform basic welding, burning and cutting
- Safely operate mobile equipment, power, hand and specialty tools
- Work with facility managers to continually update the production equipment
Additional Responsibilities:
- Source replacement parts and perform repairs
- Prioritize work orders to minimize downtime
- Maintain parts and tools inventory
- Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics
- Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training as required
- Assist operations as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance experience required
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions
- Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds and physical stamina to perform tasks in a demanding environment
- Must be able to operate a forklift (will train if needed)
- Must be able to work indoor and outdoor environments
- Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check
- Must be willing and able to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekends and on-call schedule
- Must be able to work at heights over 4 feet, operate aerial equipment and use a fall arrest system
- Must be able to work in close quarters and confined spaces if required
- Willing to answer call outs and respond to emergency maintenance if needed
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Advanced technical or college training preferred
- Ability to work with and understand the operation of PLC and I/O
- Refrigeration/HVAC trained and Universal certification
- Previous experience working with powdered and combustible metals
