As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our facilities and equipment. This role requires a hands-on expert who can perform a variety of maintenance tasks, respond to issues efficiently, and ensure that our operations adhere to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, painting, and carpentry.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, troubleshooting problems as they arise.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and labor hours.
- Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance and minimize operational disruptions.
- Assist with facility improvement projects and renovations as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Remain up-to-date with the latest maintenance technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in maintenance or related field is a plus but not required.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and schematics.
- Proficient with hand tools and power tools commonly used in maintenance tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications related to HVAC, electrical work, or plumbing are highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a commercial or industrial setting is an advantage.
