As we expand our operations, we are looking for a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the smooth functioning of our plant's machinery and equipment. Position Overview: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, and a background in industrial maintenance, preferably in food production. Responsibilities: • Perform routine preventative maintenance on all plant machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance. • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. • Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform repairs to minimize production downtime. • Install and replace parts, including bearings, motors, pumps, conveyors, and more. • Collaborate with production teams to identify equipment problems and implement solutions. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts inventory. • Perform equipment inspections and make recommendations for improvements or replacements. • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and other relevant industry standards. • Assist in equipment setup and upgrades as needed. • Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of HVAC, electrical, and other facility systems. • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action plans for recurring equipment issues. Qualifications: • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications in maintenance, industrial mechanics, or a related field are a plus. • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, ideally in a food manufacturing environment. Skills & Knowledge: • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment. • Familiarity with PLCs and basic control systems. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. • Knowledge of safety standards, including OSHA and GMP regulations. • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks. • Comfortable working in a plant environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
