    Electrical Maintenance Technician - Automation and Industrial - Base Salary to 34.00/hour - Detroit, MI

    • Our client, a national leader in automotive stamping, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician with strong Electrical & PLC knowledge to be responsible for keeping all manufacturing equipment & presses running to meet the quality and timing requirements for the customers.
    • In this role, the Electrical Maintenance Technician will perform both preventative maintenance & emergency repairs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Make sure that all equipment is running as required.
    • Perform preventive maintenance.
    • Keep records of what maintenance (preventive and corrective) was performed on each machine.
    • Perform basic machine repair.
    • Perform troubleshooting on machines and determine how to repair them.
    • Experience in electrical and PLC troubleshooting.
    • Experience working with high voltages- 24-480v
    • Background in heavy industrial environment, preferably experience working with large Stamping Presses
    • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic pumps.
    • Verify stock of critical repair items.
    • Perform inspections on schedule.
    • Support set-up people, as necessary.
    • Answer to the supervisors, perform extra duties as necessary to support quality requirements, and delivery schedules.
    • Adhere to good safety and housekeeping practices.
    • Facility responsibilities with Superintendent.
    • QMS/EMS responsibilities.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5+ years experience in machine maintenance
    • Strong Mechanical Aptitude & trouble shooting skills
    • Strong knowledge of PLCs & Automation
    • Experience with repairing 1000+ ton presses
    • Shop Math
    • Recordkeeping
    • Knowledge of OSHA and MIOSHA requirements as applied to machine maintenance.
    • Training in driving a forklift.

    Compensation:

    • Base salary starting at 34.00/hour, plus overtime
