    OVERVIEW OF ROLE: The Maintenance Tech will be responsible for preserving the good condition and functionality of the hotel premises. The goal will be to maintain the buildings, guestrooms, and common areas in the best possible condition. May be expected to work weekends and holidays. Responsibilities: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards. • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs/sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.). • Assist in repair of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems when necessary. • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality. • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed. • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, etc.). • Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.). • Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: ESSENTIAL SKILLS: • Ability to work on a team and independently. • Strong organizational skills. • High level of professionalism. • Detail oriented. • Ability to adhere to procedures and guidelines. • Customer service oriented ensuring guests have an excellent experience. • Problem-solving skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • At least one (1) year of maintenance experience, is required. • Basic knowledge of electrical and other systems, is required. • Knowledge of general maintenance process, methods, tools, appliances, and devices, is required. • Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field, is a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to stand and walk for an extended period. • Ability to repeatedly lift fifty (50) pounds. • Ability to work on ladders Compensation: $18 hourly to start
