Foreside Management, based in Orono, ME, is in search of a committed Maintenance Technician to join our team. In the role of Maintenance Technician at Foreside Management, you will have the chance to demonstrate your proficiency in promptly diagnosing and resolving issues. Working closely with a supportive team, you will address a variety of maintenance duties, including plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs. Some administrative responsibilities will be part of the role. Requirements: A clean driving record and reliable transportation are essential. Responsibilities: • Performs a wide variety of general and semi-skilled tasks such as carpentry, flooring, gutters, painting, drywall, light plumbing, and light electrical • Ensures all repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule • Demonstrates superior customer service • Ability to identify, diagnose, and fix a variety of maintenance issues and notify management when a licensed professional is needed • Loading and unloading building materials and tools • Being compliant with all health and safety regulations • Keep a record of completed repairs and when the equipment was last serviced • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and electrical wiring to ensure optimal performance and make any repairs • Inspect the building for any structural damage to windows, doors, and walls, and perform necessary repairs • Establish and implement preventative maintenance protocols to keep equipment operations smooth and eliminate safety risks • Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed Qualifications: • 2 years of experience in repairs and maintenance preferred • Skilled in maintenance activities such as carpentry, flooring, gutters, painting, drywall, light plumbing, and light electrical • Ability to work independently and with other team members • Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues • Ability to communicate well with people • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license • Must have own tools • Should be able to demonstrate an understanding of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems • Flexible availability for on-call maintenance requests on nights and weekends Compensation: $20 - $30 hourly
