Mobile Home Community Maintenance Tech

Location of opening: Grand Rapids

We are seeking experienced maintenance technicians with a background in property management, specifically in basic construction, groundskeeping, and plumbing. Please note that this is a part-time position, requiring 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities/Skills

• Works closely with management to maintain a clean, safe, and appealing property.
• Responsible for taking care of daily maintenance issues-exterior plumbing issues, safety issues etc.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be cleared to drive maintenance trucks to various locations both on and off property.
• Water / electric reads as needed
• Responsible for light snow shoveling on sidewalks
• Tree trim
• Weed control
• Light cleaning
• Changing light bulbs as needed
• Fixing mailboxes as needed
• Helping with violations and keeping community safe
• Other minimal duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1-2 years’ experience in landscaping and grounds keeping, including general maintenance, light carpentry, and plumbing.
• Proficient in use of equipment and tools.
• Able to drive a plow truck (snow removal).
• Must be available for emergencies after hours and on weekends when needed
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
• Must have proficient verbal communication skills.
• Mobile Home experience a plus.
