You’ll make sure our facilities are operating efficiently, regularly inspect our building for any damage, and conduct routine maintenance on our equipment to keep it running smoothly. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs • Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed • Make records of when any equipment was services and repairs were made • Check the building for any damage to doors, windows, walls, and make any repairs as needed • Perform basic maintenance and service for plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, appliance, and mechanical repairs in residential apartment units • Promptly answer resident service calls and perform repairs in a timely fashion • Interact politely and professionally with apartment tenants, outside vendors/contractors, and coworkers • Complete all assigned maintenance work on vacant apartments for unit turns and make ready activities • Perform various preventative maintenance measures • Respond to on-call/after-hour emergency maintenance requests/work orders • Maintain community grounds • Paint units • Clean carpets Qualifications: • Over 2 years of maintenance experience • High school diploma/GED or equivalent • Must be able to demonstrate advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques and procedures • Superb attention to detail, work ethic, and communication skills • Should be able to demonstrate understanding of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems • Ability to easily get to and from work • Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle Compensation: $16 - $18 hourly
