Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Pay Range: $29.50/hr - $35/hr

Shifts: Afternoon (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) and Midnight (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Candidates must be available to work both shifts.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and physical structures on our factory grounds. This is a hands-on position that involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who works well independently and has experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular inspections and tests on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functioning
• Dismantle malfunctioning machines, identify issues, and install new or repaired parts
• Clean and lubricate machine parts including shafts, bearings, and gears
• Install and repair electrical systems and components, such as transformers and wiring
• Maintain the physical structure of the facility, including basic building repairs
• Operate cutting torches and welding equipment to make necessary repairs
• Fabricate and repair wood structures like counters, benches, and partitions
• Take on special work-related projects as assigned by management

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Proficiency in product knowledge, including:
• PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
• Hi-lo systems
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Variable frequency drives
• SSD drives and software (for slitters)
• RS Logic Programming
• Excellent organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of an electrical program or certification

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

This position involves working primarily in a non-climate-controlled factory environment. It requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and manual tasks using hands and fingers. The role also involves lifting loads up to 20 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting of over 50 lbs, as well as crouching, climbing, crawling, and working in awkward positions.
