    Tesoro Group is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our long-term clients’ team within St. Paul/Minneapolis Metro and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience in residential maintenance, have experience with unit turns, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. These roles are of various skill levels and skill set – some require certifications such as CPO/Boilers and EPA while some require hands on proven experience.

    Salary: $22-$30/hour DOQ and skill set.

    Schedule: Monday-Friday: standard daytime hours (8am-9am start and 4pm-5pm end). No on-call while on contract, but some roles will require on-call after conversion. These roles are contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide residents with exceptional customer service and foster good resident relations
    • Be a valuable part of an effective on-site team
    • Know and adhere to all standards of quality
    • Maintain daily service request system and complete service requests
    • Perform follow up calls on service requests
    • Maintain preventive maintenance schedule and complete preventive maintenance
    • Maintain physical appearance of the community
    • Work after-hours emergency on-call rotation, as scheduled
    • Perform apartment turnover duties
    • Repair and replace appliances
    • Maintain maintenance inventory
    • Maintain safe and organized maintenance shop, storage and mechanical rooms
    • Maintain lock out/tag out station of keys
    • Maintain apartment history cards, lighting and snow logs
    • Work with contractors on snow removal, lawn care, etc
    • Monitor HVAC equipment
    • Shovel/sweep using broom, shovel snow

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • 1 years’ experience in residential maintenance - affordable housing experience required.
    • Boilers, CPO and EPA experience is preferred, certifications will be required at certain sites if applicable.
    • Experience in unit turns, preventative maintenance and work orders is required.
    • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
    • Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
