  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The Maintenance Technician Sr. independently performs general and advanced maintenance on equipment and facility. This role will be responsible for repairs, installation, and maintenance of all site equipment. They will maintain site equipment to keep an operational status report to eliminate and reduce unplanned downtime. The focus will be on executing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program with packaging and treating equipment, detasseling equipment, harvest equipment, and overall site appearance. They will also be a key stakeholder in the site’s “Goal Zero” safety initiative.

    Duties:

    • Perform preventative maintenance schedule of company equipment including electrical, mechanical, control devices, instrumentation, welding, replacing motors, robotics repairs, etc. for assigned site.
    • Work cohesively with maintenance team, site leadership team, and third-party personnel.
    • Implement schedule of work orders to ensure prioritization and work completion.
    • Establish site grounds program (snow removal, lawn care, irrigation) in conjunction with site leadership team.
    • Ensure accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and parts inventory within Asset Essentials.
    • Maintain compliance with site HSE protocols and Syngenta HSE policies and employee code of conduct.
    • Ability to perform operations task including forklift and conditioning operations when needed.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Technical or trade certification required
    • Critical Experience: 5+ years of maintenance experience
    • Proficient in CMMS software (Asset Essentials)
    • Trade certified in 1 or more of the following (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing)
    • Ability to work all seasons(indoors/outdoors) performing maintenance tasks
    • Ability to lift, push or pull 70 pounds
    • Advanced knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures
    • Ability to analyze complex technical problems
    • Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing equipment
