Tesoro Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term client’s their team at (2) of their properties in St. Paul, MN. The ideal candidate will have 1 years’ experience in hands on maintenance and general mechanical and maintenance knowledge. No special certifications required for this position but CPO is highly preferred. This role is contract to hire 90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (2) buildings: Site 1 - Built in 2014, 178 units/5 stories and Site 2 - Built in 2022, 171 units/6 stories.

Salary: $24-$26/hour DOQ. This role is contract role and is expected to last 30 days but could go contract to hire with the right candidate.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 430pm – no on-call while on contract, but rotation will be every 6-8 weeks upon conversion.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Review work orders, prioritize and complete them in a safe and timely manner.
• Ensure all work orders are responded to within 24 - 48 hours.
• Schedules and prioritizes all work orders; ensures timely completion and follow up; complete all work orders within 48 hours, communicates directly with residents when parts must be ordered causing the completion of the requested work to be delayed.
• Schedules all maintenance for building and common areas
• Preventative maintenance and general upkeep of properties. Completes assigned work orders and reports on a daily and monthly basis.
• Prepares all vacant units to be made ready for immediate occupancy.
• Keeps manager updated of any uncompleted service requests.
• Assists in keeping the entire complex clean.
• Informs manager concerning deferred maintenance issues.
• Works overtime as needed - Works on the last and first day of each month until unit turn responsibilities are completed.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to complete work in a safe and timely manner.
• Properly secure and care for property equipment and supplies
• Implement preventative maintenance plan.
• Walk property weekly, identify maintenance & safety related issues, and manage repair process.
• Ability to be on call for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 1 years’ experience working in residential/multi-family maintenance.
• No special certificates required – general mechanical and maintenance knowledge is required.
• CPO certification is highly recommended.
• Hold a valid Driver’s License and active vehicle insurance as this is a roving role.
• Be able to pass a background check prior to employment.
