    Responsibilities:

    • Assists the Facilities Manager in assigning the work of the maintenance team members
    • Determines materials, equipment and supplies to be used
    • Assists in coordinating and inspecting any contract work done on the electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems
    • Performs basic repairs to mechanical equipment and building systems as necessary
    • Analyzes and makes recommendations on any purchase of new equipment
    • Update inventory and other supplies as needed
    • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
    • Additional duties as needed

    Requirements:

    • High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
    • Two (2) years minimum education and training beyond high school level in general maintenance and repair
    • Minimum 10 years experience with electronics and machines, preferably food/drug production and packaging equipment
    • **Supervisory experience a plus

    **

    • Must be able to recognize electrical, plumbing and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures
    • Most have a solid understanding of electrical systems
    • Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees, vendors and contractors
    • Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions
    • Solid computer skills required
    • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
    • Must be able to work effectively in a loud work environment
    • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time during a regular work day
    • Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing 50+ pounds, climb up and down ladders and work while stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
