JOB SUMMARY
As a Maintenance Technician at Utah's Best Vacation Rentals, you play a pivotal role in ensuring our properties remain in peak condition. Your main responsibilities will be to perform a variety of maintenance tasks, repairs, and preventive procedures to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of our guests, and to respond to occasional emergencies. Collaborating with the housekeeping and area management teams, you'll help ensure that each property under your care provides a flawless experience for our guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, appliance repairs, painting, and HVAC maintenance.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff at various properties in the St George area (primarily Santa Clara).
Work van provided, or if applicant has their own transport then gas/mileage may be provided for travel around Santa Clara.
Respond to emergencies at any hour of day or night, including weekends or holidays.
Regularly inspect properties for potential maintenance issues and safety hazards.
Document completed tasks on company software with pictures and description. Provide reports on maintenance activities.
Keep an inventory of maintenance supplies and reorder as necessary.
Identify potential maintenance issues and address them before they escalate.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must have valid Driver License.
Practical knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
Owning essential tools tools is advantageous, but we also provide basic tools.
Manual dexterity, good physical condition and strength with the willingness to work overtime.
Familiarity with safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Should be resourceful and well connected in finding vendors and contractors for specialty tasks.
Living close to Santa Clara is a plus.
Must be able to execute daily tasks, maintain schedules, and be good at planning, time-blocking and thinking ahead.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
Certification in trade (e.g., electrical, plumbing) is advantageous.
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
Familiarity with property management software is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Position requires qualified individuals to see, hear, and speak. Occasionally reaching with hands and arms, climbing, or balancing are required. Regular physical activities such as lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, stooping, and kneeling. Must drive between properties and may be asked to travel for specialized training or assignments. Must report to work unimpaired. Natural and regular stressors occur on the job.
