    Job Description

    A Maintenance Technology Manager is responsible for monitoring various technology platforms/systems for our maintenance operations. This includes implementing and managing onboard truck technology systems to optimize the department’s response time for repair processes.

    This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maximizing operational efficiency, essentially bridging the gap between technical expertise and maintenance management practices.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

    Technology Implementation :

    • Learning and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Transportation Management Software (TMS) while working exclusively in Fleetio, and OEM portals.
    • Integrating technology with existing maintenance processes.
    • Training staff on new technology tools for data collection and analysis.

    Preventive Maintenance Strategies:

    • Developing and implementing proactive maintenance plans based on equipment data analysis.
    • Utilizing predictive maintenance methods derived from the onboard truck & OEM reporting systems/technologies such as Virtual Technician.
    • Monitoring equipment performance metrics to identify potential issues before breakdowns occur.

    Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Generating reports on equipment reliability, downtime, maintenance costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Utilizing data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

    Team Leadership:

    • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • A technical understanding of the transportation industry, especially in the maintenance operations department.
    • Proficient in various maintenance software including but not limited to McLeod (TMS), Fleetio, and OEM portals.
    • A four-year college degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
    • 3-5 years of experience working in transportation maintenance (required). Experience is commensurate to having a college degree.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional departments
    • A background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering may be preferred
