Job Summary

A-1 Appliance Co. is looking for an Install / Delivery Trainee to join our team! As an Install / Delivery Trainee, you are a key member of the team! You are responsible for delivering household goods to our clients. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.

This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, energetic, and enjoy helping people. Ideally, you are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis. As a Trainee you will be paired with an experienced Installation expert who will train you and coach you on how to perform your duties. Any experience or background in construction, plumbing, or electrical will help boost your training.

Responsibilities:

Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and different routes

Follow route and schedule

Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle

Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100lbs.

Qualifications:

Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Must be able pass a drug screen, and background check.

Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles, i.e., box truck and express van

Excellent organizational skills

Must be able to work independently

Must have excellent time management skills

Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective relationships with current customers and vendors
