Job Description

• Direct and coordinate activities of departmental staff to ensure proper processing according to formula specifications.
• Test and inspect beer, grain, malt, wort, yeast, etc. using hydrometer and other test equipment to perform quality control analyses.
• Responsible for maintenance of brewery equipment and machinery.
• Observes time, temperature, and pressure recording charts on machines.
• Trains workers in operation of equipment.
• Review, analyze, and determine production schedules.
• Monitor sales and guest satisfaction of products.
• Responsible for personnel-related matters including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, evaluating, counseling, and discharging.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Brewmaster Certification or Associate’s degree in food science preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience in a similar role, brewery experience preferred.
• Must have thorough knowledge of, beverage machinery, products, presentation, preparation, and taste.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and maneuver 100 pounds regularly.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
