Eastman Credit Union is seeking a Manager of Business Services Credit Administration. The Manager of Business Services Credit Administration manages daily activities of business and commercial loan underwriting and credit administration functions. Supervises approval of business and commercial loans and issuance of commitment letters. Makes sound and prudent underwriting decisions within individual loan authority. Makes presentations and recommendations for credit facilities submitted to loan committees and Board of Directors. Distributes agenda and leads weekly Internal Business Loan Committee meeting. Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, regulations, and state and federal laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Supervise, coach, and develop business and commercial lending underwriting and credit administration staff.
· Exercise sound judgment in the execution of loan approval authority for business and commercial loans, including business online deposit limits and bill pay. Make recommendations to loan committees and Board of Directors that articulate underwriting conclusions.
· Ensure that business and commercial loans are underwritten in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as internal policies, guidelines, and procedures.
· Maintain industry and market knowledge relevant to underwriting of commercial real estate, multi-family, commercial and industrial, construction and residential investment loans.
· Issue business and commercial loan commitments in accordance with loan approval conditions. Countersign commitment letters within authority limits.
· Approve changes and edits to standard loan documentation for specific transactions.
· Maintain accurate commercial loan portfolio risk rating system in accordance with Business Services portfolio risk strategy.
· Assist in establishing loan rates and pricing business and commercial loans.
· Evaluate and approve rate quotes for expanded market commercial loans.
· Evaluate and approve pricing adjustments in competitive situations for local commercial loan transactions.
· Maintain and monitor systems for reporting business and commercial loan concentrations to management and Board of Directors.
· Maintain and monitor systems for providing accurate data on business and commercial loans for regulatory call reporting.
· Must be able to interpret ambiguous and complex data using independent judgment and discretion.
· Monitor underwriting decisions and asset quality measures and provide necessary coaching and training to underwriting staff.
· Analyze departmental operations and make recommendations to improve quality and efficiency. Proactively review job processes and evaluate improvement opportunities.
· Facilitates Internal Business Loan Committee meetings.
· Facilitate Business Loan Asset Quality Committee meetings to review business and commercial loan asset classification reports, risk ratings, substandard loans, individual loan impairment, non-accrual status, troubled debt restructuring (TDR) reporting.
· Participate and be liaison in independent loan reviews, audits and regulatory examinations.
· Facilitate and lead Credit Administration team meetings.
· Participate and assist in business services department team meetings.
· Serve as resource to credit administration staff.
· Coordinate with other business services managers to ensure efficient, member-focused processes. Serve as the liaison between underwriting and origination staff to disseminate relevant information.
· Resolve member complaints/errors.
· Assist in the development of new products and services as well as enhancements to existing products and services.
· Assist Director Business Services in budget process. Review and respond to monthly budget variances as requested.
· Review and authorize payment for invoices under accounts payable guidelines.
· Assist in implementation of regulatory changes/updates.
· Maintain business and commercial loan underwriting and credit administration procedures.
· Assist with maintenance of guidelines and policies.
· Assist with maintenance of business/organizational membership procedures, deposit services procedures, and ancillary business product procedures.
· Coordinate training for staff.
· Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage. Prepare work schedules and approve vacation. Approve employee timecards.
· Understand strategic initiatives of organization and ensure team members support those initiatives.
· Participate in special projects as requested.
Supervisory Responsibilities ****
Directly supervises employees in MBL underwriting and credit administration. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
