    Job Description

    UP&E is seeking a Manager, Category Mgmt. – Merch on Demand to support the Director in developing business and assortment strategies for assigned accounts. Strategy to include franchise, assortment, and product-line direction to meet the financial needs of the business. Position to work closely with cross-functional partners including Retail Sales, Retail Marketing, Design, Copy, Franchise, and Analytics.

    Salary range: $90,000 - $115,000 (bonus eligible)

    Responsibilities:

    • Actively work to apply financial insights, consumer insights, and product trend information, as well as support the divisional strategies and overall Integrated Retail vision to validate strategies
    • Analyze retail and consumer trends in the industry to help shape the assortment strategies, drive innovation, and identify new opportunities.
    • Develop quarterly assortment plan in partnership with marketing, sales, and design teams
    • Analyze sales and margin rates to provide recommendations for assortment optimization
    • Present quarterly departmental strategies and hindsight business reviews to the Senior Management and cross-functional teams.
    • Execute key milestones, meeting requirements to support operational timelines and hold cross-functional teams accountable to these milestones
    • Contribute to the overall MOD strategy and develop merchandise plans by property in partnership with retail team.
    • Own and drive the annual budget planning and quarterly revenue forecasting process, developing licensee objectives and initiatives to align with business goals.
    • Manage Day to day of Amazon MOD relationship.
    • Partner with Contract Ops and finance teams to streamline and process contract-related needs in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Collaborate with Retail Sales on presentations and sales meetings. Actively contribute to the creation and content of pitch decks.
    • Work closely with Product Development Team to deliver compelling merchandise assortments that leverage strong creative direction and support UP&E brand goals.
    • Forge a synergistic partnership with Retail Sales and PD to form a strong team, surpassing retailer goals and increasing earned revenue that exceed Budget goals.
    • Collaborate with Franchise and Marketing teams to enhance brand presence and marketing initiatives.
    • Analyze and understand the Licensed Apparel competitive landscape and market trends.
    • Formulate strategies based on market insights and retailer performance.
    • Cultivate relationships within UP&E teams to explore cross-category opportunities.

    ** QUALIFICATIONS** **** –

    Basic Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5+ years of account and product management experience in mid to large-size apparel company (or related experience)
    • Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience
    • Experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Experience working on Amazon or other e-commerce business preferred
    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Ability to flex from strategic to task-oriented skills
    • Good computer skills (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    • Strong organizational skills
    • People oriented team player
