Manager, Data Science
We are seeking a Manager, Data Science with proven leadership skills and a strong technical background in data science methodologies. This role involves leading a team of data scientists to execute key business objectives, mentoring team members, and developing new data analytics products. An ideal candidate for this job would have some experience with healthcare providers or health plans, but that is not required. The role requires the ability to manage a team of data scientists while also contributing to data science projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timely delivery.
Guide the team in applying advanced statistical inference, modeling techniques, and measurable performance indicators.
Lead the development and deployment of internal applications and data products that drive actionable insights.
Guide advanced data integration efforts across multiple sources, using advanced data cleaning, imputation, and validation techniques.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes and manage deliverables effectively.
Ensure team focus on high-impact projects, proactively addressing roadblocks and aligning work with the product roadmap.
Champion data visualization best practices, using tools like ggplot or Power BI, to create compelling data stories.
Provide technical guidance on programming approaches and introduce scalable, repeatable solutions.
Contribute to industry Thought Leadership by working closely with departments such as Product, Marketing, and Consulting.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
