    Job Description

    The Manager of Enrollment will serve as a leader of student recruitment and enrollment for Camden. They will be responsible for building and overseeing the implementation of best-in-class practices that result in exceptional parent experience as a means to increase enrollment. They will work closely with staff across the region to create turnkey resources and training. They will establish and leverage strong relationships with staff at various levels to ensure continuity of experience in the transition from prospective to enrolled families.

    Student Recruitment & Enrollment:

    • Cultivate a rich experience for prospective families
    • Build best-in-class practices that region and school staff can turnkey to improve outcomes
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align practices with our mission
    • Coordinate enrollment messaging with supporting teams, like Marketing and External Affairs
    • Spend time in schools with students and families to understand and prioritize ongoing improvement of services
    • Analyze ongoing efforts to ensure practices are consistently applied
    • Conduct student recruitment and enrollment efforts in tandem with Enrollment staff
    • Report to home office, regional, and school teams on progress

    Management:

    • Manage two part-time coordinators and support them through individual check-ins, goal setting, professional development, progress monitoring, and coaching
    • Manage team financials
    • Additional duties and projects as needed and assigned to support Uncommon Schools
  • Qualifications

    EducationRequirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree

    Experience Requirements:

    • 6+ years of professional experience working with schools and families prefer experience in leading community organizing and engagement and/or sales
    • 2+ years of professional management experience
      • Experience with SchoolMint
      • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms
      • Understanding of K-12 education, preferably in charter school
      • Proven organization and project management skills
      • Proven coaching and training skills
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Excellent relationship management skills
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
      • Strong public speaking and engaging when presenting to large groups

    Travel/Schedule:

    • 3-4 days a week in person, in our Camden office
    • Travel to our other regions twice per quarter

    Compensation for this position: Candidates who meet all job description requirements will likely receive an offer of $81,000. The starting compensation for this role is between $76,500 to $90,000. The starting pay will depend on various factors including but not limited to relevant professional experience, education, certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. To receive an offer at the top of the range, candidates will need significant experience beyond the job description requirements. Because we value staff tenure in a role, we do not currently cap salary ranges for current staff members.
