    Job Description

    The Manager is responsible for collaborating with the Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E) Global Communications team on external communications campaigns. The role reports to the Senior Director of Global Communications and will manage and execute publicity campaigns for UP&E’s consumer products, games and theme park merchandise business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in storytelling and crafting messaging as well as in executing strategic PR campaigns, event management and media relations.

    Salary range: $85,000 - $110,000 (bonus eligible)

    ** Essential Responsibilities:**

    • Develop and implement communications campaigns for UP&E’s consumer products, games, and theme park merchandise business units
    • Craft strategic brand and franchise messaging including press materials, pitches and talking points
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (franchise strategy, product development, content) to align on marketing goals and amplify key initiates
    • Manage cross-divisional PR opportunities within the larger NBCUniversal and Universal Destinations & Experiences organizations
    • Oversee and manage publicity campaign with external licensing partners
    • Manage PR agency and vendors to facilitate execution of campaign goals
    • Curate media and influencer lists
    • Oversee creation of press and influencer coverage reports
    • Manage event production for fan experiences, retail pop-ups, junkets, premiers, among others
    • Light to moderate travel could be required (as needed)

    ** Basic Qualifications:**

    • Minimum 5 years of PR or Communications experience, preferably within entertainment, media, consumer products or retail; agency experience is a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsBachelor's degree required in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, as well as Keynote

    ** Additional Requirements:**

    • Travel may be required
    • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the needs of the team

    Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
