    Job Description

    The Manager, Inventory Planning is responsible for overseeing inventory strategies and demand planning for the categories of parts and accessories. This role ensures optimal stock levels across e-commerce and brick-and-mortar channels, collaborates closely with merchandising and purchasing teams, and drives initiatives to reduce excess and obsolete inventory. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience in supply chain management, and a passion for driving operational efficiency. This role is pivotal in maintaining the right balance of inventory to support sales growth while optimizing operational efficiency and minimizing risk. The Manager, Inventory Planning will play a critical role in supporting the company's strategic objectives and driving success in the marketplace.

    _ Our Next Manager, Inventory Planning Will Manage:_

    Inventory Planning & Demand Forecasting:

    • Develop and execute inventory strategies to support sales forecasts and business objectives for assigned categories.
    • Utilize demand planning tools and analytics to maintain accurate SKU-level forecasts and minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
    • Collaborate with merchandising teams to align inventory strategies with promotional and seasonal plans.

    Inventory Health & Disposition Management:

    • Analyze inventory health and make recommendations for disposition of dead, excess, and problem inventory.
    • Implement best practices for inventory lifecycle management, focusing on improving inventory turnover and reducing aged stock.
    • Develop action plans to optimize inventory levels and enhance profitability.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work with purchasing agents to ensure timely placement and tracking of purchase orders.
    • Partner with vendor operations to enhance inbound logistics and improve on-time deliveries.
    • Collaborate with merchandising to align on assortment strategies and sales plans.

    Process Improvement & Reporting:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements within inventory planning and supply chain workflows.
    • Develop and maintain inventory reports, providing insights on stock levels, forecast accuracy, and inventory health.
    • Contribute to the development of automated reporting tools to enhance inventory visibility.

    Vendor & Supplier Management:

    • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure alignment on product availability and delivery schedules.
    • Monitor supplier performance and communicate effectively to resolve discrepancies in purchase orders, costs, and shipment statuses.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Our Next Manager, Inventory Planning Has:

    • 5+ years of experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain management.
    • Retail/eCommerce industry experience.
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., JDE) and demand planning tools.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage complex inventory portfolios and drive process improvements.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in a cross-functional environment.
    • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced retail environment.
