    This is an incredible opportunity. As the Manager, Learning & Development (L&D) for Tech Academy, Global Technology you will be part of the Global Learning & Development team during a period of unprecedented innovation and transformation, within Global Technology. With a long-standing commitment and investment in Learning and Development (L&D) and our award-winning Hamburger University brand combined, paired with critical transformation occurring on the Global Tech team, this role will be a key builder of McDonald’s digital future. 2025 will be a busy year, as this role will be responsible for deploying our new Tech Academy program. This role will be re-evaluated mid-year to determine its fit with Global Technology, and potentially transition to support functions outside of Global Technology.

    This role reports to the Director of Learning & Development, Global Technology, and will need to closely partner with the Global Technology stakeholders and the Global People Team to achieve the goals. Within this role you will support and partner with the L&D Director for Global Technology on the strategy, planning, and execution of the talent development program, Tech Academy, which will be launched in 2025 for the Technology function worldwide. You will serve as the point of contact for this program and implement the learning curriculum that supports and enables the Global Technology team to deliver against the needs of our rapidly changing business and customer expectations. In this highly visible and critical role, you will ensure the programs meet rigorous expectations and are aligned to the strategic priorities of the function and the business.

    Responsibilities

    • Partner with key stakeholders such as Tech and Global People to run Tech Academy for Global Technology, design to deployment, in partnership with external vendors.

    • Own the execution of learning programs including but not limited to: managing registration, coordinating delivery logistics, serving as the point of contact for learners and facilitators.

    • Manage key relationships with external vendors (Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, McKinsey, Accenture)

    • Support Director to build dedicated multi-year Learning & Development strategy for Global Technology function.

    • Partner with the Director to develop dedicated content mapping and skills analysis to achieve strategic ambition.

    • Create and foster a continuous learning culture within Global Technology, through strong multi-pronged communication and activation strategy and approach. Leveraging existing and new opportunities (Coursera, Invest In Me Days, @mcd page, etc.)

    • Build dedicated learning solutions, as part of the Tech Academy brand, to support the business (i.e., Securing the Arches)

    • Achieve outcomes through flawless execution and impact.

    • Unite Global Technology success metrics with L&D’s Global Measurement & Analytics strategy by evaluating, driving insight, and building understanding through tracking against consistent standards and fulfilment of audience and business needs. (digital module tracking, NPS insights, etc.)

    • Support Global Technology’s role building strategy in collaboration with Talent

    • Actively contribute unique ideas and expertise, in addition to gaining input and collaboration from other areas of the business

    • Conduct and facilitate learning experiences, presentations, workshops, and training.

    • Travel will be limited and ad-hoc only

    The expected salary range for this role is $112,860– $143,900 ** __** / per year

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA, Master’s Degree preferred

    • Minimum 8 years’ experience

    • Learning & Development facilitation experience

    • Flexibility to work during off-hours occasionally due to time zones across a Global Team

    • Experience in learning & development strategy, design, development, and/or systems/technology with a proven track record of excellence

    • Demonstrable experience leading the execution of strategies/plans that delivered desired outcomes and strong business performance.

    • Experience working cross-culturally with varied colleagues in a global and/or business environment.

    • Expertise across a variety of training methods with an excellent ability to engage with people at all levels of an organization.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Solid influencing, negotiation and facilitation skills to champion and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and other key stakeholders, including leadership.

    • Strong business acumen, with the ability to credibly make a business case, by linking current and anticipated business challenges with learning and development solutions.

    • Ability to develop and translate strategic goals into successful deployment plans.

    • Outstanding project management skills on complex and evolving work.

    • Proven record of communicating and processing sophisticated and sensitive information.
