  • Responsibilities

    Eastman Credit Union is seeking a Manager of Marketing. The Manager of Marketing oversees the daily operations of the Marketing team, providing leadership and ensuring the priorities of the team effectively support the business objectives and strategic plans of the organization. This includes proactively recommending, developing, and executing marketing and member engagement campaigns that align with the organization’s strategic objectives.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Stay abreast of marketing industry trends and innovations to consistently improve the performance of the marketing function.

    • Collaborate with product owners within various lines of business to develop product and service marketing plans that align with the organization’s strategic objectives.

    • Coordinate production and distribution of marketing and member engagement materials across all delivery mediums, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic plans.

    • Work closely with the Corporate Communications function to ensure cohesiveness and effectiveness of all member and public-facing communication strategies.

    • Ensure compliance of marketing and member engagement materials with appropriate regulations and guidelines, while ensuring appropriate and consistent use of the organization’s brand elements across all delivery mediums.

    • Oversee management of content within the organization’s digital communication platforms such as online and mobile banking, social media platforms, the public website, and various other digital communication tools.

    • Conduct market research which leverages data to identify opportunities for increased engagement within specific markets, products, and services.

    • Leverage business intelligence tools to analyze characteristics of the organization’s membership and improve personalization of marketing campaigns.

    • Oversee management of the organization’s member experience program to ensure member feedback is appropriately collected and leveraged for improvements to products and services.

    • Develop and maintain annual marketing and advertising budgets for the organization.

    • Manage vendor relationships through the organization’s vendor management program, including evaluation of potential new vendor relationships and contract negotiation.

    • Serve as liaison for ECU’s non-deposit investment services program provider, ensuring that the program operates consistent with ECU’s culture and strategic objectives.

    • Provide leadership for Marketing team staff. Coach by encouraging and providing feedback. Manage employee goals and development plans based on changing business priorities.

    • Assist with coordination of member and community events.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Directly supervises the Marketing team. Responsible for providing direction, coaching, and evaluation of all Marketing team employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    Bachelor’s degree or four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Qualifications

    Minimum

    • Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree (preferred). Medical Device College (preferred).
    • Strong academic performance and demonstrated leadership in extra-curricular organizations (internships, work, athletics, volunteerism, clubs or associations)
    • Up to 2 years proven sales experience
    • Experience developing presentations to various audience levels
    • Leads with integrity; confident and competitive
    • Personable, energetic and responsive
    • Must be able to meet and maintain customer/medical facility access requirements, including regular or periodic drug screenings with a satisfactory result in accordance with the requirements of the customer/medical facility serviced
    • Must be willing to relocate within the US as opportunities and business needs arise
    • Ability to travel 75%+ of the time
    • Able to lift and manipulate equipment weighing 50 pounds
    • Valid driver’s license
