    Job Description

    We are looking for a Manager, Network Engineering to join our growing global team at Sectigo.

    The Manager, Network Engineering is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our company's network infrastructure. This individual will lead a team of network engineers by providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our network systems.

    This is a full time and remote position. The ideal candidate should reside within 2 hours of Newark, New Jersey in a surrounding state to best support our network operations and data center.

    Here are the core functions, responsibilities, and expectations for this role:

    • Lead and manage a team of network engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the successful delivery of network projects and initiatives.
    • Develop and implement network design strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Oversee the planning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.
    • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize network efficiency, reliability, and security.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet the needs of internal stakeholders and external clients.
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance network capabilities and improve operational efficiency.
    • Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
    • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee the procurement of network equipment and services.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to network security and data protection.
    • Other duties as assigned and related to the nature of this role and company initiatives.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, technology, or a related field is preferred.

    Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
    • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and architectures, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, MPLS, and SD-WAN.
    • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention, and access control.
    • Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds, or Cisco Prime.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving network issues.
    • Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
