    Job Description

    Meet Peacock, NBCUniversal’s fast growing streaming service that combines timeless shows and movies, exclusives and originals, kids programming and current hits, with timely news, sports and pop culture.

    This position is a part of the Decision Sciences team (Partnership Insights and Strategic Analytics) with a charter to provide end-to-end data and analytic support for Peacock distribution and partnerships, providing data enablement, forecasting, reporting and advanced analytic support. This position will be a part of the analytics segment of the team, with a specific focus on digging deep into extensive datasets to uncover insights that have a tangible impact on Peacock’s growth. Their work will be very visible across the Peacock organization; they will consistently deliver insights that drive Peacock’s strategy around platforms, streaming bundles and partnership offers.

    This position will collaborate heavily with additional Decision Sciences teams to align on and/or enhance developed methodologies and findings. Additionally, this position will work very closely with business stakeholders, including Partnerships, Finance, Marketing and Product.

    Selected candidates will be required to complete a SQL assessment through the interview process.

    Day-to-day:

    · Partner and build relationships with Partnership stakeholders, gaining a deep understanding of their business needs, to deliver analyses that tie directly to informing their strategic decisions

    · Query and analyze complex data sets to provide advanced analytical support with a specific focus on surfacing actionable insights that influence distribution and offer strategy

    · Synthesize complex analyses, KPIs, and concepts into digestible presentations for a variety of audiences, including key stakeholders and leadership

    · Build robust data methodologies that develop new or iterate on existing performance metrics

    · Evangelize data democratization and data-driven decision making throughout the organization

    · Support business stakeholders with ad-hoc data/analytic requests

    · Work with additional analytics teams on cross-functional analyses for the business

    · Identify data challenges as it relates to our partners; work closely with Partnership Measurement, Data Product and Engineering teams to resolve

    · Build, improve and maintain reports, dashboards, and trackage of performance metrics that help inform cross-functional stakeholders

    · Partner with Data Science and Consumer Insights team members to enhance developed methodologies, metrics and insights

    · Partner with Finance on Lifetime Value modeling exercises

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements:

    · 4+ years of relevant experience in analytics, data science or research positions

    · 2+ years of experience working with large, complex data sets and analytical tools

    · High proficiency with SQL (additional programming languages a plus: R, Python, etc.)

    · Experience with Big Query / Google technology stack or similar

    · Experience producing reports and dashboards with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)

    · Strategic thinker with ability to derive conclusions and recommendations from raw data

    · Experience creating PowerPoint presentations telling meaningful stories with data

    · Experience working effectively with potentially messy datasets, identifying and resolving issues with the underlying data or finding solutions when complete information is not available

    · Ability to translate technical developments in a comprehensible way for business stakeholders

    · Advanced excel skills

    · Experience managing multiple priorities with the ability to shift course as needed

    · Strong sense of curiosity, accountability, and ability to execute projects of all sizes with vision & purpose

    · Team oriented and collaborative with an aptitude and willingness to learn

    · Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other relevant quantitative fields

    Desired Characteristics:

    · Ideally prior experience working in video streaming or relevant subscription services · Knowledge of data science techniques, applied statistics, predictive modeling a plus

    Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
