Job Description: We are seeking a full-time manager for our Sports Bar in Smyrna location. This position will be directly responsible for all activities related to the management of the entire restaurant (both back-of-house and front-of-house). This includes but is not limited to standardization of company processes and procedures, purchasing, maintenance, development/implementation of food quality; sanitation and cleanliness; training of employees.
This position will be directly responsible for the interview and hiring processes for all positions such as servers, hosts, cooks, dish washers and bartenders. They also oversee, direct, and actively participate in the training of personnel in these positions. Additionally, the manager supervises individual shifts, helping ensure that dining guests are served in a manner that meets the standards set by the restaurant.
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, inventory control, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Develop and implement strategies to improve overall restaurant performance and profitability.
Train and mentor team members to provide exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of food quality.
Manage special events, including planning, organizing, and executing successful functions.
Monitor job performance; food and labor costs, budgets, and sales; labor payroll sheets.
Prepare daily and weekly labor projections based on business performance
Lead monthly management report meetings
Enter all food invoices and import Sysco invoices.
Involved in local store marketing initiatives.
Fully understands and complies with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to the health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.
Requirements/Qualifications
Must have 2 years of management experience in a full service, high volume restaurant.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Ability to stand on your feet for several hours
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
Strong knowledge of inventory control, POS systems, and food service management.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
Must have a food service sanitation certificate.
